Power

So I went to see the Social Network this week.
And before you start, I know this is a music blog, but the mere fact that a film has made it into here should highlight the spectacular quality and credentials of said film.

Yeah, its awesome.

Jesse Eisenberg plays Mark Zuckerberg - The creator of the site we know, love and hate all at the same time. Andrew Garfield (hot!) plays Eduardo Saverin - The screwed over best friends of Mark and co-creator.
And JT, Mr. Trouser Snake himself plays Sean Parker - The creator of Napster and the destroyer of the paying music industry.

I saw this film a week ago and it is still on my mind. I can't get enough of it. It was so utterly captivating that when it finished it took me a second to realise where I was. The amount of drama and depth of emotion for a 'talky' film is astounding. Passion. Betrayal. Love. Envy. Power. All in abundance in this film. The screenplay is dynamic and frightfully true, it was written by the same guy who wrote 'A Few Good Men' when he was 25, Aaron Sorkin. I haven't been affected this much by a film in a very long time. So much so that I can't actually remember when I last was. Simply amazing.

And a stunning version of 'Creep' is used. One of my favourite songs used on (and I'm putting it out there) one of my favourite films.

If you take one thing from this blog, take this film. Sublime.
