Tinie Tempah - Written in the Stars (Starkey remix)

I like the original. But what is up with the remix? It starts off OK but then it just collapses into, well, noise. You hope the song will drop and it just doesn't. The original song is just lost by the end. It's an original remix, but not a style I want to hear more of.

Devlin - Runaway

Distincly average in this countries massive RnB scene. A forgettable song which won't last. Its such a shame because his previous work is great. He's an amazing rapper and I think he's going to have a great future, but by adding synths and Yasmin's voice (which is incredible) to this song it just feels like its been done before... Rihanna on Eminem's 'Love The Way You Lie' ring any bells?? And any other big RnB number in the last year...

It's a shame. He's good but falls down on this record.

My Chemical Romance - Na Na Na Na Na ...... (you get the picture)

First of all, what a shit title. I think this song is just a bit boring. And that's why they had to make up for it by giving it an 'exciting' title. Its another generic emo song but considering their last two albums, I can't understand why this song is so dull and forgettable. I just think they are so uncool now, but maybe that's because I'm not an emo child anymore. I'm sure the current emo kiddies will love it and it will be the soundtrack to their little rebellious and depressing lives but for me, I heard it before.

Misty Miller - Evergreen Love

Another solo female with a guitar and a quirky alternative voice. Oh joy, one would think. But this is actually a cute little ditty by one of the new folksie singers about. At 16 she's a promising talent. An emotional narrative which will captivate all the Mumford and Goulding fans.

Danny Byrd - Ill Behaviour

LOVE THIS SONG!!

I'm really getting into drum and bass and I'm so glad it's starting to get the recognition it deserves in the main stream. I think this is a really hot remix and beautifully produced. Can't get enough! What a great song to give a remix to as well. Club classic for the fall.

Shakira and Dizzee - Loca

Bizarre. Latino and Dizzee don't really go. I think they are both good artists in their own right but putting them together just does not work. A bit like apples and cheese. Good on their own. Not good together.

XX - VCR (Four Tet Remix)

Wow. Four Tet have made a brilliant song even better. I think this song can only work in favour of the Mercury Prize winners to gather more fans. Progression in this track is the key to this song. It gathers and grows into a massive tune. Wicked.

Drake - Best I Ever Had

I like this. A lot. But it's getting over played. It's been around for too long and now I'm getting a bit bored. It has a great beat and it produced really well.

Dinosaur Pile Up - Mona Lisa

I love this. It's so fresh, haven't heard sounds like this in a while. It's kind of early Foo Fighters with a more alternative (and I think better) voice. They have a really good energy, it's get up and dance and mosh out and create memories. Great tune.
