Invaders Must Die

So I had a dawning realisation yesterday...

I don't actually want to be a solicitor, I want to be a journalist. My house mates are thrilled I'm giving up law, and its only taken 2 and a half years into my law degree to I realise I don't want to do law...but anyway, onwards and upwards :)

I am so scared. For the last 5 or 6 years I've been set on being a solicitor. To then decide your heart's not in it and committing to something else is terrifying.

But what's life without taking a massive leap into the unknown from time to time??

House is Falling Down

I realised today how retarded I am...I have lost the ability to speak in coherent sentences and made a massive fool of myself in front of the editor of the magazine I write for....fool.

And a few songs I am addicted to at the minute....

Erik Hassle - Hurtful

Glee Cast - Don't Stop Believing (revision time song)

Paolo Nutini - 10/10 (I love him) ps. check out this live video of pencil full of lead, I want to marry him :p

Tinie Tempah - Pass Out

Hadouken! - House Is Falling Down

and my guilty pleasure...

3oh!3 - Starstrukk....twit twoo :)

Much Love x

Let's Go Surfing

So NME's hot new tip for 2010 was The Drums.

And my god, if all their songs are half as catchy as this one they are sure to be a huge success.
Great video as well btw.

I am actually gutted I'm not going to see them on the NME tour this year. The trouble with living in Nottingham is that Rock City sells out quicker than anything. Massive gay.
Any who, lets crack on with some new music.

I've just heard Crookers new song sampling the wonderful Miike Snow (who also I couldn't get tickets for-I am so shit at this ticket lark) and the track is called Remedy.
It got 73% on the review show with Nihal.

I really like it. Its got a wicked thumping bass line, it just makes you want to be in a dirty grimy club dancing the night away. Its really well produced and sure to be a massive hit in on the underground club scene. I cant see it being a regular on the Oceana dancefloor, but thats why its great. Its raw and shouldn't be ruined by commercial exploitation. Its such a grower this song it will be a hit in its own right.
Miike Snow sounds great as ever on this track, this certainly won't harm the "snow" ball effect that is surrounding the duo currently. No pun intended.
Give it a listen. I give it 85%

Over and out.

Get loose, get loose!

New York

So here it is.

My first blog.

I'm basically going to use this blog to write about new music and gigs I go to and any other random little anecdotes I feel you should know about.

I have to say, I'm not that great at writing down my feelings unless I'm writing about music, so who knows how this will turn out...

Off for a shower, here's something to entertain whilst I'm gone.
